| How to Volunteer CASA volunteers do not need advanced educational degrees or legal experience. But it does require special people over the age of 21 with: 1. A concern for children and the genuine desire to help. 2. The ability to remain objective and the maturity to deal with emotional situations. 3. Sensitivity to cultural and ethnic differences. 4. The commitment to complete a 30-hour training course. 5. Access to transportation and a somewhat flexible schedule. 6.
